Spiritland at King’s Cross
Café by day, and bar by night, Spiritland puts the love and passion back into music. This is a place to experience music of all genres and eras on one of the world’s best sound systems. From 50s jazz to deep electronica, country rock to classic pop, if it’s good, it’s here.
There are DJ sets every evening, daily album playbacks and artist talks. The ‘Spiritland Talks’ series has offered evenings spent with Bill Nighy, Nick Hornby, Tom Dixon and more. Hot Chip and Jarvis Cocker have run residencies, and a collaboration with neighbours Everyman Cinema offers a monthly music film night.
For those in the know, the sound system has been custom designed by Living Voice, the company responsible for the Vox Olympian speakers. For album club every weekday, an LP is played at 6pm from start to finish on a Kuzma Stabi XL2 turntable.
Spiritland also sells music on vinyl and CD as well as a world-class selection of headphones, audio players, amplifiers and accessories. What’s more, the Spiritland Sound Studio, available for hire, sends out radio shows and podcasts by the likes of Spotify and The Guardian.
