Spiritland at King’s Cross
Café by day, and bar by night, Spiritland puts the love and passion back into music. This is place to experience music of all genres and eras, from Parliament-Funkadelic to Judee Sill to Talk Talk to Donald Fagen.
There are DJ sets, daily album playbacks and artist talks. The ‘Spiritland Talks’ kicked off in January with Bill Nighy and Nick Hornby in conversation. Hot Chip and Jarvis Cocker have residencies, and there’s a regular quiz night. Visit the Spiritland website to find out what’s on this month. Or read the interview with Artistic Director, Paul Noble in King’s Cross Quarterly.
For those in the know, the sound system has been custom designed by Living Voice, the company is responsible for the Vox Olympian speakers. The setup will be shown off each weekday from 6 PM, when an album is played from start to finish on a Kuzma Stabi XL2 turntable.
Spiritland also sells music on vinyl and CD as well as a world-class selection of headphones, audio players, amplifiers and accessories. While the Spiritland Sound Studio sends out radio shows and podcasts.
