Somers Town Bridge

A new pedestrian bridge for King’s Cross

Somers Town Bridge, King's CrossSomers Town Bridge is open!

There’s a new way to cross Regent’s Canal at King’s Cross. Somers Town bridge links Camley Street with the lovely Gasholder Park and viaduct to the North. This is a great way for cyclists and pedestrians coming from the station area to access the canal tow path and Granary Square. The bridge gives a great view of St Pancras lock, and introduces you to the hidden gem that is Camley Street Natural Park.

The bridge is designed by Moxon Architects, working with engineers Arup. The structure is slender and lightweight, with only 15mm of steel between the top of the deck and the underside, discreetly integrating into its surroundings.
