Q1, Handyside
34,000 sq ft with floor plates of 14,500 sq ft over 3 floors - Now fully let
* Q1 is now fully let
Designed by Coffey Architects, Q1 offers c.34,000 sq ft of B1 office space with floor places of c. 14,500 sq ft has received planning permission from the London Borough of Camden.
Q1 is a small, but beautifully formed, commercial building that sits above the Network Rail Gasworks tunnels on the corner of York Way and Handyside Street. The building design has been borne out the constraints of the tunnels below, but this has led to some real creativity that draws on the industrial heritage of the site.
The key element of the design is a skewed, pitched roof that affords equal merit to each elevation around the building. Larger upper floor plates can be sub-divided with each area benefiting from access to south facing terraces. Amenities include bike storage at 1.5 times required by BCO standard.
The façade is a silver perforated aluminium that sits well with the neighbouring buildings along York Way with the black and greys of Q2 and Arthouse.
This building is located less than 10 minutes from London’s main transport hub, with all the amenities of vibrant King’s Cross on your doorstep.
Environmental Performance
As with all the office buildings at King’s Cross, the very latest technology will reduce running costs and minimize environmental impact.
