Launching on Saturday 19 September Lower Stable Street at King’s Cross shopping destination Coal Drops Yard, the brand new street market will bring together a diverse and enticing range of stallholders running the length of the street; with food, books, flowers and more.

Visitors to Lower Stable Street Market can enjoy the outdoor shopping and exhibition space with a selection of London’s most forward thinking brands.

If you’re a fan of art and print you’ll be spoiled for choice with; Hato Press will have a stall brimming with books, printed matter, clothing, objects and lifestyle items from Hato Store.

Independent publishing distributors Quality of Life and XFEL will each be selling a selection of books, T-shirts and zines from artists and photographers including ‘Time On Our Hands’. Climate activists and creative team Adapt, who also designed the typeface for The Market, will be launching their new ‘activist fashion project’ at The Market in October.

Food enthusiasts are catered for by Long Boys, a small batch bakery, specialising in handmade finger doughnuts with fillings and toppings made fresh in house from the finest seasonal ingredients. Greg, one of the brains behind Hackney Road’s favourite Lanark Coffee and cult sandwich seller Dom’s Subs, will be making a hot Market Special. Lower Stable Street residents Redemption Roasters will be on hand to provide you with coffees.

For those looking to stock the pantry, look no further than the deli delights of Kold Sauce, with their range of hot pepper sauces and powders naturally fermented in London. Dont miss the briney Putz’s Pickles with their secret recipe pickles. Trapfruits, a community-led greengrocers who have been home delivering locally produced fruits across London are running their first ‘in-person’ market stall masterminded by Peigh Asante.

To put the finishing touches on your ‘working from home’ space; eco-conscious floral design studio Fluoresse, will offer you a range of fresh and dried bouquets as well as the opportunity to make your own flower bouquets, Botanical Boys will help you to reconnect with nature with their terrariums, succulents and plants.

The Honest Jon’s records stall and store will stock an eclectic selection to suit your needs from blues, dance, soul, reggae and much more on vinyl and CD.

Lower Stable Street Market has been curated by Kiosk N1C; the independent magazine turned store and event space which brings a sense of community in the street’s beautiful bricked arches. The items designed and created in the studio are available to browse through and buy directly from the store every day of the week.

The market is FREE to attend and will trade every Saturday from 11-4pm, starting 19 September until 10 October.

As a visitor, safety is the priority and changes have been introduced to ensure the Coal Drops Yard area is as safe as possible. There’s enhanced cleaning in place, new hand sanitiser units all around King’s Cross, and social distancing measures. The public WCs are open, and there are increased cycle spaces. There will also be two information points to answer any questions you might have.
