Ahead of its permanent cinema launching in 2017, Everyman are delighted to announce the opening of a bespoke-designed 32-seater pop up cinema on the 11th July 2016, just off Granary Square at Handyside St, Kings Cross, London N1C 4UR

As part of the vibrant area of restaurants, homes and a school now located by the Regent’s Canal at King’s Cross, Everyman will operate a unique, intimate space on the ground floor of the Plimsoll Building.

Showing up to three films a day, the bespoke design for the venue includes signature Everyman seating, a stylish bar, and will be managed by the team from Screen on the Green, Everyman’s iconic site in Islington. The opening programme for Everyman on the Corner will include a diverse range of quality films, including Roald Dahl’s BFG, Absolutely Fabulous, classics such as The Ladykillers [Filmed nearby] and The Neon Demon, the new Nicholas Winding Reffin film about the fashion industry, starring Elle Fanning.

Crispin Lilly, CEO at Everyman Cinema, said:

“Across each venue we strive to provide communities with an ‘Everyman’ experience. From the films we handpick, to beautiful, comfortable venues and great food and drink, the experience is always a quality one. I’m eager to see how residents, businesses & colleges in and around King’s Cross respond to our mini-cinema and to our commitment to deliver a really unique experience and a great night out.”

Rosie Cade, Project Director, Argent, said:

“Next door to a park, a primary school and three apartment buildings, Everyman on the Corner will be both a community amenity and a great new option for film-lovers, ahead of the 2017 three-screen cinema opening at King’s Cross.”
