King’s Cross now has a new Santander Cycle docking station located on Goods Way (next to the zebra crossing) with another on Handyside Street to follow shortly.
Santander Cycles is London’s self-service, bike-sharing scheme for short journeys. You can hire a bike from as little as £2. Simply go to any docking station with your bank card and touch the screen to get started. There’s no need to book – hire a bike, ride it where you like, then return it to any docking station.
These installations managed by TfL further support the King’s Cross Travel Plan objectives to encourage green travel to the site. Other initiatives include the installation of over 700 public cycle spaces, ramped access from the canal onto the development and cycle safety training for over 110 HGV drivers.
