Halloween fun

Posted: Tuesday 21st October 2014

This autumn at King’s Cross 3,000 candle-lit pumpkins will blanket the Canalside Steps, lighting up the Regent’s Canal and creating an incredible display.

The 3,000 carved pumpkins, which will be in place from Thursday 30 October to Saturday 1 November, will form a sea of russet vegetables, twinkling lights and grimacing faces designed to both delight and scare.

The pumpkins are being created by Global Generation, House of Illustration and some master carvers, but visitors are also being encourages to bring along their own Halloween masterpiece to be put on display.

At King’s Cross we always on the look out to lend a helping hand, so on Saturday 1 October we will be hosting a mass give away of pumpkins, where people are being encouraged to come and collect a free pumpkin, plus a recipe card from our local chefs.

As part of these autumn celebrations, we are holding an intimate feast at the Skip Garden, with seasonal food and drink from its top chefs. We have a pair of tickets to give away! To enter, just tweet @kingscrossN1C and tell us why you love autumn.
