King’s Cross – Aviation Hub

Posted: Friday 27th June 2014

Check in at the Visitor Centre for a jet speed ‘flight’ over the King’s Cross area from historic balloon ascents to aerodromes that never were by way of aerial railways, birds of prey contracts, meteorological heritage, damage in two World Wars, films, literary references, aviation fantasies and elaborate pranks.

Lester Hillman, the Academic Adviser to the Islington Archaeology and History Society, will be giving a presentation next Friday (4 July) at 1pm in the King’s Cross Visitor Centre using lavish illustrations.
