House of Illustration will be celebrating its move to Two Granary Square with a landmark Quentin Blake exhibition from Wednesday (2 July).

The gallery’s inaugural exhibition will be Inside Stories which will showcase the work of Blake, one of the world’s most loved illustrators.

This exhibition will give a unique insight into the origins of some of Blake’s most characteristic and popular creations, from his illustrations to Roald Dahl’s The Twits and Danny the Champion of the World to his own Clown and The Boy in The Dress by David Walliams.

Bringing together first roughs and storyboards, many of which have never been shown before, the exhibition will also show finished work to demonstrate how ideas evolved.

The exhibition will run from 10am to 6pm until 2 November at 2 Granary Square, King’s Cross, N1C 4BH.
