Half-term kids festival at King’s Cross
Come down to Coal Drops Yard this half-term and take part in the fun activities and events that will be running throughout the holiday. With a line-up of film-screenings, circus, plus lots of crafty workshops and activities, there is plenty to keep the kids entertained! Spaces limited on all free events, places allocated on a first come first served basis.
There’s even free parking at Handyside car park over both weekends from 8am to 10pm. 200 spaces, subject to availability
Let’s Play Festival is at Coal Drops Yard from Sat 16 – Sun 24 Feb, 10-5pm.
Wave-Field, Variation F
Illuminated musical seesaws – what’s not to love? Come pair up and play with this hugely popular installation. Look out for guest musicians, who will be composing something special with the seesaws during half term.
STORE Store – Slime!!!
Create your own slime using weird and bizarre ingredients. Test your creation on our giant slime wall. Free event.

Bubble Show with BubbleInc
Set to high-energy, family-friendly music, this magical show combines incredible bubble tricks – square bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, the tiniest bubbles in the world and more. Expect comedy, audience interaction, people INSIDE giant bubbles, and the finale… an all-in bubble party! This is a free event aimed at all ages.
A handpicked crew of street circus artists will be popping up around King’s Cross, showing off their crazy skills. Be careful! You might just want to run off and join them. Free event.

STORE: Natural Dyeing Workshop
Get hands-on dyeing on big tablecloths with a colour pallet of natural dyes from Coal Drops Yard. Think coal, soil, ingredients from the restaurants, coffee from the coffee shop and much more! JAIRO+NICOLA will be at Canopy Market, showing aspiring artists of all ages how to create beautiful and love-inspired screenprints.
Create a Parade of Curious Characters with Marianna Madriz
At this family-friendly workshop at House of Illustration you’ll experiment with different materials and illustrate a fun cast of characters for the parade. The session takes inspiration from Corita Kent’s work and explores the foundations of printmaking. 16 Feb. Book your ticket here.

Sing-a-Long with Mrs H
Mrs H and her Sing-along Band bring phenomenal live music to families in a way that can be enjoyed by everyone. Come along! We have puppets, props and instruments so you can join in too. Each concert lasts 45 minutes. This is a free event.
Coal Drops Yard x Mothers Meetings
Jenny Scott from Mothers Meetings will be running these inspiring workshops for mums. Grab a cup of tea, sit back and be inspired while the kids let loose on the soft play. This event is ticketed.
