Apprenticeships are the best way to get into the construction industry.
The Skills Centre offers training, apprenticeships and employment opportunities to local young people. You will gain recognised qualifications and the skills, knowledge and experience you need to enter the workforce. The apprenticeships are for residents of Camden and Islington who are aged 16 to 18. About the Skills Centre
The Skills Centre is located on York Way just across the street from the King’s Cross development. It has been operating since 2004, and helps local people access the jobs and opportunities created by the investment here – and across Camden.
- Since opening, the Skills Centre has trained and supported over 5,000 people.
- Over 3,500 have gained a construction-related qualification.
- 2,000 have gained their CSCS health and safety card.
- 1,200 have gained employment in the industry.
