All World History, All Year Round

An evening of delicious food, poetry and thought provoking discussion

Global Generation are celebrating the end of the first “All World History, All Year Round” school year, with Every Voice, a social enterprise which aims to influence race equality. Head to the Global Generation Skip Garden for an evening of poetry, discussion, food and music.

Award winning poet, writer, playwright and All World History champion, Anthony Anaxagorou, will be leading a discussion on the need for a more creative and inclusive curriculum and the important role of poetry within education. He will also be performing some of his thought provoking poetry.

Highly acclaimed DJ and educator KMT Freedom Teacher will be serving up delicious food and great music. KMT delivers the Love Music, Hate Racism training programme for The National Union of Teachers and engages Islington students in Hip Hop History workshops.

About All World History, All Year Round

All World History All Year Round helps schools in Islington integrate black and ethnic minority narratives into their History curriculum. It aims to create diversity and ensure the development of a more accurate and culturally inclusive view of history shifting away from Euro-centricism, to enrich pupil’s identity, history skills and sense of equality and place in the world.
