Head to Lower Stable Street in Coal Drops Yard to see this collection of artworks inspired by lockdown, and the unique opportunities afforded by having ‘Time on Our Hands’.
The project was initially a book, created by London-based producer/director Jackson Payne and photographer Robert Foster. Compiled in just two weeks in the midst of the pandemic, they collaborated with 40 UK artists and photographers, asking them to dig into their archives to find previously unseen works that relate, in some way, to current events.
The results are bold artworks and photographs celebrating everyday life. Contributors include 2004 Turner prize winner Jeremy Deller, Lucien Clarke, Scott King, Oliver Payne, Rollo Jackson, Leo Leigh, Lauren Maccabee, Akinola Davies, Alex De Mora and Toby Evans.
From now until 21 August, you can find the art on display in the lightboxes on Lower Stable Street in Coal Drops Yard.
The limited-edition book, also entitled Time on Our Hands, is available to buy from Kiosk N1C. All proceeds from the book raised will be donated to the RCN Foundation Covid-19 Support Fund.
