The big screen is back! This year at Lewis Cubitt Square
If you can’t get tickets to Centre Court, and don’t want to queue for Murray Mound, then head to King’s Cross this Wimbledon season, where you can see all the live tennis action on the big screen – this year, from a new location at Lewis Cubitt Square.
The King’s Cross screen will be one of the biggest and best-quality in central London, making it the perfect place to watch the tennis. The first 50 or so visitors will be able to grab one of our free deck chairs!
Eating and drinking
Weekday lunchtimes tastetastic KERB will be on hand with delicious street food. And for those who want to indulge in the spirit of summer, Pimms, Prosecco, cold beers and soft drinks will be on offer all week from the Strawberries and Screen bar. There are plenty of spots for a picnic, both on the square and just across Stable Street at Lewis Cubitt Park, or head to one of the many restaurants and bars in the area.
Strawberries and Screen will run from start of play on Monday 29th June until the men’s final on Sunday 12th July. We’ll be showing the main BBC coverage, ending at around 8pm unless a key match is in progress.
Pop-up tennis events
To help you hone your own game, and to keep our younger visitors amused, we will be hosting a series of tennis-themed pop-up events during the tournament.
Come and play tennis with us during Wimbledon fortnight!
Coaches will be on hand to organise games, coaching drills and to offer you tips on techniques.
Free of charge and drop in: all abilities welcome.
