School of Thought: The Feminists

A lunchtime class by The School of Life - part of The Festival of Perception

Friday 8th May 2015

12.30 – 13.45

The School of Life presents one of its famed classes as part of the Festival of Perception.

Everyone is a feminist now, celebrities and politicians even wear t-shirts proclaiming it, but what does feminism mean and why does it matter? Drawing on the lives and experiences of everyone in the room, men and women alike, we will get clear on what is at stake in feminism, and how we might we bring it to bear on our own lives in a useful, helpful way.

School of Thought: The Feminists will be led by historian of ideas Hanna Dawson.

This lunchtime class will offer you a burst of big ideas, giving you the chance to step back and expand your perceptions, meet your work-place neighbours, and get fired up for the rest of the working day.
