300 years from now, world economies have failed. The human vestiges of earth are scattered and defenseless, pursued by flood and famine.

Aphra, the last hope for life, has two weeks to live.

In 2016 a group of women from around the world are drawn together by an unearthly power, to forge a future for their planet. Can their mission alter Earth’s course and save Aphra?

This bold new show at the Platform Theatre weaves theatre, opera, contemporary classical music, electronics and film.

Singers from across the world and from diverse musical traditions are brought together in Opera for the Unknown Woman. Combining powerful film projections and a passionate score, you will be drawn you into a world where you’ll be inspired to make a change.

Opera for the Unknown Woman is the latest production by award winning sound artist Melanie Wilson. and is presented by critically acclaimed producers, Fuel, who were responsible for the phenomenal Electric Hotel.
