In a clash of industry and movement, award-winning choreographer and photographer Mickael Marso Riviere captures dancers animating the architecture of King’s Cross with Eklegein.
Born in France and trained in both classical and contemporary dance, Mickael Marso Riviere has established himself as a major force on the International dance scene. He is particularly interested in collaboration across art forms, which has led him to work with artists as diverse as The Bolshoi Ballet, hip-hop theatre artists Jonzi D, and world-leading breakdance troupe, Bboy Team Project Soul. His unique blend of artistic form results in pieces that are groundbreaking, eclectic, refreshing, and truly unexpected.
In this latest project, Mickael has blended his twin passions of choreography and photography, in a series of pictures that capture dancers in King’s Cross, as they react to and animate the architecture that shapes the area.
Eklegein will be on display in the Western Transit Shed, from 1 September to 16 October, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12pm – 4pm.
