The Ladykillers Screening and Tour

Join BBC Radio 4's Alan Dein for a special anniversary talk, tour and screening of the iconic comedy

Saturday 26th September 2015

It’s 60 years since the release of this iconic comedy set in and around King’s Cross. Join BBC Radio 4 broadcaster and oral historian Alan Dein for a talk, tour and special anniversary screening of the film.

Produced by Ealing Studios, the 1955 black comedy starred Alec Guinness, Cecil Parker and Peter Sellers. It scooped two BAFTAs, scored an Oscar nomination and was voted the fifth greatest comedy of all time by Guardian readers in 2010!

The programme

The afternoon will begin with a talk by Alan about the making of the film and the history of the King’s Cross area. He will then lead a tour to some of the locations used in the film – some of these remain almost as they were, others are much changed. After returning to the Visitor Centre for afternoon tea, you can sit back and enjoy a screening of this much-loved film with the benefit of a whole new perspective!

Please wear sensible shoes for the walking tour as we will be visiting a number of areas in the King’s Cross area. If you have any accessibility issues please call the King’s Cross Visitor Centre on 020 7479 1795
