Professor Martin Hendry leads this informative and accessible lecture with a difference on the banks of the Canalside Steps, King’s Cross. In Making Waves, Professor Hendry demystifies one of the newest discoveries in physics – gravitational waves. Free event, from 6.30pm – 8pm. Making Waves is part of a series of lectures presented by The Institute of Physics throughout the summer. Also in the series will be Brewing Up a Storm by Professor Joanna Haigh on climate change and Electronics on the Brain with Dr Jessamyn Fairfield, which explores how to build computers that are more like the brain.
