Walk on fire and help raise money for musical instruments at King’s Cross Academy
The goal is to raise £10,000 to buy a set of musical instruments. The instruments will be loaned to families on income support and those just over the threshold.
Sign up and help the Academy reach its target! You can register your interest by contacting Hannah at email@example.com or just come along to see the spectacle and cheer on the fearless as they tread the hot coals.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You must be 16 years or older to take part in the fire walk.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is no parking in the Kings Cross development although there is limited street parking nearby. Best bet is public transport as Kings Cross is very well connected.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Any questions please email Hannah firstname.lastname@example.org
Music at Kings Cross Academy
Music at the Academy is taught from nursery upwards using a Finnish approach called “Colourstrings” based on the teachings of Zoltán Kodály. Music lessons slowly evolve from singing, clapping, moving, dancing, listening and the use of rhythm instruments into “Musicianship” classes, in which pupils learn to sight sing along with the basics of reading and writing stick notation. From year 2, children also learn violin or cello as part of the curriculum.
