BEATS: 9 May
Produced by Steven Soderberg, and directed by Brian Welsh (Black Mirror), this coming of age film follows two best friends in a small Scottish town in the summer of ’94 who head out for one last night together before life takes them in different directions. Going to an illegal rave, the boys journey into an underworld of anarchy, freedom and collision with the law as they share a night that they will never forget. The screening will be followed by a rave in an undisclosed underground location.
Do You Own The Dancefloor: 21 May
The Hacienda nightclub closed its doors for the last time in 1997. In 2000, 69 lots from the club were sold off at auction in Central Manchester. Do You Own The Dancefloor? tells the story of the auction and about what happened to bricks, toilets & dancefloor from this iconic club.
On the night director Chris Hughes, architect Ben Kelly and DJ Graeme Park will be there for a special Q&A. Don’t miss the afterparty at SUPERMAX. It’ll be one to remember.
Rocketman: 22 May
‘Rocketman’ is an epic musical fantasy about the uncensored human story of Sir Elton John’s breakthrough years, starring Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden and Bryce Dallas Howard.
