Get involved and help put an end to youth homelessness
For 10 days in October, in the build-up to World Homelessness Day, New Horizon Youth Centre and a growing number Kings Cross businesses, community organisations and residents are coming together to take on youth homelessness.
Every year thousands of young people become homeless in London through no fault of their own, and over 1,000 of them will end up coming to New Horizon for support.
If you live or work in King’s Cross, the homelessness crisis is clear to see. Now you can get involved and do something to help tackle it!
Watch this space for details of workshops, talks, and lots of ways to get involved and fundraise over the 10-day takeover. You’ll be in good company, as King’s Cross residents like Central Saint Martins, Heatherwick Studios, Havas, Google, the Guardian and many more have already signed up to help.
For starters, why not come along to Massaoke at King’s Cross on October 10th?
For the uninitiated, Massaoke is the live band, sing-along sensation that’s sweeping the UK. Think karaoke, but a whole lot bigger, and a lot more fun! The brilliant band smashes out the greatest anthems of all time, while big-screen lyrics help the crowd along with everyone singing and dancing their hearts out. Join the party and do your bit to help put an end to youth homelessness.
