The nights may be closing in, but Dishoom will be shining lights on King’s Cross with its annual Diwali celebration.
This year, Diwali falls on Sunday 30th October. Dishoom is holding its free Diwali celebration at 3.30pm – 8pm on Sunday 23rd Ocotober. The venue is the West Handyside Canopy, just the other side of the Granary Building from the Dishoom King’s Cross restaurant.
Dishoom will be delighting you with a warm welcome of chai, snacks, mithai, and favourite Indian soft drinks, Thums Up and Limca.
A luminous, loud, joyous celebration looking to the year ahead
The celebration will feature a soul-stirring line-up of artists and performers. Enjoy music from the likes of Shammi Pithai, Vibs Bhatia and Vik, Sabiyha Rasheed and Alisha Nadir.
There will also be Rangoli (traditional Indian pavement art) workshops, henna artists and face painters for the kids.
Plus you can expect top-notch street food vendors, serving everything from sushi burgers to spicy creamy mithai sweets and lashings of Dishoom House Chai.
People of all ages, cultures and backgrounds are invited to come and celebrate Diwali with Dishoom.
Entrance to the event and all entertainment is free. Dishoom drinks, mithai and activities will also be free of charge, but guests will need cash for the street food stalls. (No alcohol will be served at the event.)
