The international design show is back at King’s Cross

This September, the King’s Cross Design District plays host designjunction – one of the most hotly anticipated events during London Design Festival.

The exhibition brings together the newest and most forward-thinking furniture, lighting & accessory designs of 2019. Whether you’re searching for inspiration, sourcing items for a project or looking to connect with the best in the design industry, designjunction puts you at the heart of the creative community. Leading international names such as Icons of Denmark, Very Good & Proper, LSA International and PAD Home will exhibit, alongside emerging designers and brands including bespoke furniture and cabinet maker Brook Studio and British ceramicist Emma Alington and many more!

King’s Cross Light Tunnel will be home to the RADO Star Prize and Everyman Cinema will host a programme of talks curated by Grant Gibson. There will also be thought-provoking installations from Steuart Padwick and Louis O’Hara, as well as pop-ups from the likes of Yamaha Design Studio + Keechdesign. Here are the highlights. Cubitt House Pavilion
Visit the pavilion for cutting edge iconic furniture and lighting brands, featuring both emerging talent as well as global brands exhibiting their designs in London for the first time.

The Canopy
A market of seventy pop-up shops and emerging design labels, with a curated mix of design-led products from fashion accessories to technology, ceramics, glassware

The Greenhouse by LSA & Friends – an immersive concept shop celebrating sustainable living in unit 5 at Coal Drops Yard.

Rado Star Prize in the King’s Cross Light Tunnel
See cutting-edge design pieces by the next generation of young British designers in the King’s Cross Light Tunnel. The theme, ‘Re:Imagine’, explores different ways design can improve life by evolving existing product forms through materials, function, technology, end-use or even, re-use.

designjunction Talks
The 2019 Talks programme at Everyman Cinema explores themes such as the relationship between design and dyslexia, wellbeing in the workplace, the circular economy, why the design industry needs to find space for new voices, plus much more.
