Counter Acts

Friday 29th November 2019 - Wednesday 22nd January 2020

It’s the 35th year of the Turner Prize and to mark the occasion, the Lethaby Gallery is hosting Counter Acts.

The exhibition highlights the remarkable history that the University of the Arts London has with the Prize. Spanning four decades, the show brings together previous winners and nominees who studied or taught at UAL, and alongside the work of emerging graduates.

This exhibition traces the ideas and artworks that have challenged perceptions of contemporary art. Drawing on incomplete histories, Counter Acts features artists offering critical perspectives from different generations, educational systems and cultural backgrounds.

This is a free exhibition at the Lethaby Gallery, Central Saint Martins.
Opening times are Tues-Fri 11am-6pm, Sat 12-5pm
