CogX 2019 – how AI and emerging tech can support a better world
There has arguably never been a more crucial point in human history – the moment when we have a collective responsibility to tackle the big challenges of sustainability, security and global stability and work together to navigate toward a brighter and better future. Once, tech was the answer. It would solve humanity’s problems and pave the way to a better future. Now with public trust eroded, there’s a real risk that the open-armed embrace of technology of former years is being replaced by suspicion and hostility. At its most extreme expression, companies are facing the prospect of losing their social licence to operate.
For 2019, the Congress is partnering with 2030 Vision to tackle the Global Goals of the UN. By convening 15,000 of the brightest minds on the planet from industry, government and academia, CogX will take an optimistic look at the challenges ahead and explore how tech can solve the world’s most intractable problems.
From the Impact Stage to the Health Care zone, from showcasing the future of work to discussing the ethics of emerging technologies, from tackling climate change to creating spaces where innovation is presented, explained and brought to life, CogX will truly move the conversation forward.
