Don’t miss your chance to buy from emerging international artists

Ceramic Art London is a major showcase for contemporary ceramicists.

Now in its 14th year, visitors to the fair can discover and buy work directly from 90 leading contemporary ceramic artists. Visitors can also enjoy a programme of talks, demos and films designed to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of studio ceramics.

FACTORY by Neil Brownsword

At Ceramic Art London, Coal Drops Yard is sponsoring FACTORY, the artwork of internationally acclaimed artist Neil Brownsword, hot off the back for his V&A Ceramics Residency.

In FACTORY, Brownsword raises questions surrounding the value of inter-generational industrial craft practices. China flower-making is a methods of mass-production that relies completely on dexterity of hand, but changing fashion and globalisation means this industry has all but disappeared. Under Brownsword’s instruction, flower maker Rita Floyd re-stages her former working practice, then casually discards what she makes. The waste that accrues becomes a metaphor for an intangible cultural heritage that remains increasingly in danger of being lost.

The fair is in the Granary Building on Granary Square and will run from 23-25 March. All works are for sale, with something to suit all budgets. Opening times are 10am to 5pm. Book your tickets here.
