It’s a chocolate takeover at Canopy Market
This May 17-19, Canopy Market is collaborating with Cocoa Runners to bring you a celebration of all things cocoa. The market will be packed with the the best craft chocolatiers from around the country and further afield!
You’ll be able to sample rare and unusual chocolates, crafted single-origin cacao, raw nibs and the very best, velvety drinking chocolate.
On Saturday 18th May, at series of tastings led by the producers themselves, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about and try a range of chocolate and explore its versatility. Artisanal cheese expert Karen Gaudin will be leading a talk and tasting session on chocolate and cheese pairing. There will be a sensory workshop with Professor Barry Smith, the British philosopher who co-directs the Centre for the Study of the Senses. While at ‘Craft Chocolate Revolution’, you’ll get a taste for the chocolate-making process, learn how chocolate’s flavour depends on where the cacao was grown, and how Indian lentil grinders are used in the process. If you’re interested in attending one of the workshops or talks, please book in advance here.
The market will also include the regular line up of street food, artisan produce, a craft beer and wine bar, as well as emerging designer-makers.
Canopy Market takes place on Fri, 12-8 pm, Sat and Sun, 11-6pm.
