From Wednesday 23 October, construction of a protective walkway along Lewis Cubitt Walk will commence, the extent of which will be limited to the plot boundary of building R3 (Luma).
To construct this walkway, Lewis Cubitt Walk will be temporarily closed for five days and we expect to reopen the path by lunchtime on Saturday 26 October. An alternative pedestrian and cyclist route utilising the path to west of the park will be clearly signposted.
This protective walkway is being constructed to provide and maintain a safe pedestrian route to the eastern boundary of Lewis Cubitt Park whilst the upper façade of Luma (facing Lewis Cubitt Park) is completed. Once the protective walkway is installed and façade works progress above level four, a 12m exclusion zone will be required within Lewis Cubitt Park, from Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm. The exclusion zone will utilise aluminium barriers as seen across the estate.
Please note Arabica will be trading as normal throughout.
In addition to the R3 measures, the north of Lewis Cubitt Park will also be closed for two weeks from Monday 21 October to facilitate a public realm installation.
King’s cross apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.
