Late Working on Tuesday 3rd September at P2

Posted: Wednesday 4th September 2019

We would like to sincerely apologise for the late working at P2 last night: Tuesday 3rd September 2019. Due to unforeseen emergency works which arose during a major concrete pour earlier in the day at P2, Kier contractors were forced to work late on site.

The incident involved a concrete leak during a pour at the North West corner of the site, which required immediate repair and clean-up works near the junction of Handyside Street and Wollstonecraft Street.

Kier would like to apologise for the noise and disruption caused. These works were entirely unplanned, and the incident is a rare occurrence suffered within the construction industry. The team are now taking all steps to ensure this does not happen again.

King’s Cross take this very seriously and are working closely with Kier on this matter, to ensure we mitigate any future disturbance of this type.
