Utility works at W Zone & Canal Reach

Posted: Wednesday 13th February 2019

The drainage works on York Way from the W Zone plot are now complete and the new vehicle entrance to W Zone is open. The footpaths are currently being reinstated and works are also underway on the utility crossings of York Way which include District Heating & Cooling pipes, water, gas, sprinkler mains and various ducts for power and communications.

The utilities will be installed across York Way in two halves with the first section completing at the end of February. The works will require the use of three way temporary traffic signals and it is hoped that the second half of the crossings will be complete by mid-March.

Works are now underway to extend the various utilities along Canal Reach to York Way. This work involves footpath diversions and a period of one way traffic on Canal Reach. Works are planned to continue through until May.

King’s Cross apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.
