On the weekend of Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 October the contractors at T2/T3 on Canal Reach will be working 08.00-18.00 to erect a tower crane on site.
A mobile crane will be set up on Chill Lane (to the rear of the site) and will be used to erect the tower crane over the two days. The crane will be brought on site at 7am and parked in place. Works will commence at 8am on Saturday 20 October to set up the mobile crane with the tower crane erection starting at approx. 10am. On Saturday 20 October work will cease at 6pm and recommence at 8am on Sunday 21 October. The tower crane erection is expected to complete by 4pm, after which time the mobile crane will be dismantled and taken off site at 6pm.
These works are taking place over the weekend as this is a high risk activity and cannot be undertaken during normal hours.
In case of inclement weather conditions on 20-21 October, back up dates of 27-28 October and 3-4 November are being held for the erection of the tower crane.
King’s Cross apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause.
