Out of hours works at Plot R3 (Luma)- 16th & 17th August 2018, including temporary closure of Beaconsfield Street

Posted: Wednesday 25th July 2018

On Thursday 16th August and Friday 17th August the contractor at Plot R3 will be erecting a tower crane on site.  This will involve the closure of Beaconfield Street for the period of these works.

In order to erect the crane, a 300ton mobile crane will be brought on site.  The mobile crane will arrive on Beaconsfield Street at approximately 6.30am on Thursday 16th August as, due to the size of the vehicle, it has to be off the public highway before 7am.  Upon arrival it will be parked in place with the engine turned off until works commence at 8am to erect the tower crane.

Works are not expected to take place out with the regular construction working hours (8am to 6pm) on 16th and 17th August.  However, due to the road restrictions mentioned above, the mobile crane will depart from Beaconsfield Street shortly after 7pm on Friday 17th August.
