Chapel Down Gin Works

King's Cross gets its very own gin distillery with bar and restaurant overlooking the canal

Chapel Down, England’s leading winemaker, has a new London home right here at King’s Cross

The Chapel Down Gin Works is in a stunning spot, sitting on the banks of Regent’s Canal and facing Granary Square.

Featuring two bars, a distillery and tasting room, along with three beautiful outdoor terraces overlooking the water, Gin Works offers a range of premium English spirits, and a wine-bar style food menu served all day.

Gin lovers can also learn more about what goes into creating their favourite tipple with a series of gin experiences. Experiences include the Gin Masterclass, where you’ll sample various spirits while learning about their unique production methods, and Spirits Tasting, where guests are given a fascinating introduction to the history of gin and a tutored tasting of the full Chapel Down spirits range.

Or for the ultimate delve into the world of gin, book in for the Gin Works Experience. In a 90-minute workshop, guests are led through the onsite distillation process (look out for Helga, the 150-litre copper still!) to discover the art of craft gin making. Fully informed, visitors are then invited to infuse their own gin with an array of botanicals – from cardamon to fennel seeds and orange peel – resulting in a truly bespoke gin, that they can enjoy as a G&T at the bar, and have bottled to bring home.

Chapel Down is open daily from 12pm-11.30pm. Book a table, read the menu, and find out more here.
