BookWorkShop by Earl of East

Earl of East BookWorkShop, Coal Drops Yard, King's CrossNew at Coal Drops Yard – Earl of East is here with a multi-functional space for discovery and learning

BookWorkShop is the newest member of the Earl of East family, sitting just opposite their flagship store in Coal Drops Yard.

Inside, you’ll find a collection of the brand’s favourite books, magazines, and artwork covering travel, design & architecture, food, visual culture and even children’s literature. You can also pick up the latest issue of your favourite indie magazines with hard-to-find titles such as Record, Stand Art & Milk featuring amongst many others. The store will also host regular Covid-safe creative workshops.

Born out of the pandemic, Earl of East founders Paul & Niko wanted to create a space to accommodate our changing shopping behaviours. With the help of award-winning furniture & interior design studio Fred Rigby, they have created a sustainable, Covid-safe location.

Niko Dafkos, Co-founder at Earl of East says, “It is important that people feel content in this space, which is why we have designed a 5-metre long central table with safety screens that feel like they’re part of the design concept. This both adheres to the 1-metre distance rule for workshops but also creates an organic one-way system around the store for customers.”
